Check back soon for the Bob Ross inspired Forum Scheme Snowboard and the Forum Republic Binding.....check the video on YouTube 14.05.2009 Snowboard Test 2009 The Snowboard Shop team have just got back from a weeks hard shredding in Kaunertal, Austria. We had a great testing environment with lots of differing conditions from fresh Pow to ice and great terrain from park and pipe to groomers and off piste. Just over 20 shops attended the UK test and most of the major snowboard brands were there with a good range of kit to put to the test. The good news is that about 85% of the boards we tested were fantastic and would we be happy to grab any one of them and run to the hill at the next opportunity! One of the major tech changes for this coming season is the introduction of 'Rocker' technology into more boards in most manufacturers lines. Although Rocker technology has been around for a while already from some manufacturers (Lib Tech Skate Banana and Burton Hero etc) you will see a great more about this coming winter. Rocker (or Banana Tech) worked really well in a wide range of testing conditions in Austria and generally made riding feel easier whether it was helping to keep the nose and tail out of the way when landing some ugly spins or keeping the nose lifted effortlessly in the powder, Rocker technology improved our overall riding experience.  "V-Rocker: Equally fun from park to pow, V-Rocker features a center rocker with additional rockers in front of your feet. Naturally de-cambered,this design energizes edge control under your feet while disengaging tip and tail contact points for a catch free feel that cranks stability and pop for maximum fun. For as loose and skate like as it feels, V-Rocker boards turn on a dime thanks to the added grip of Pressure Distribution Edges." - Burton We have written test reports for most of boards we are stocking this coming winter and will be uploading these in the next few weeks... 04.11.2008 More Snowboard DVDs We have had another delivery of the best snowboard DVDs for winter 08/09. Anon Goggles for winter 2009 are now in stock.
