The new Carbon GTR (Series 2) is the latest release carbon board from Evolve and it is essentially a replacement for the older Carbon GTR (series 1) model. It has been completely redesigned from the ground up and although it looks similar it's actually a brand new beast. The carbon deck is super stiff and provides a nice responsive ride. The Super Carve trucks have double kingpins and give the GTR a super buttery carve. All Terrain tyres are great off-road on the trails and fields but they also feel super nice on hard surfaces too. The upgraded Phaze Bluetooth remote is well designed, easy to use and way more robust that the earlier R2 remote. The accelerator trigger is nice and smooth and takes you from zero to over 20mph in the blink of an eye.
The main difference between the GTR Bamboo and the GTR Carbon is the flex in the deck. The bamboo is super flexy, whereas the carbon is super solid. Personally I prefer the carbon as I love hitting the trees runs and with the rigidity of the carbon deck you know that it’s not going to bounce you around too much when you’re picking the tightest line you can through the trees.
As a true independent, rider owned snowboard shop we are are always on the lookout for that perfect solution to how we can carve like we can on our snowboards when we are either off season or too far away from the mountains. Evolve skateboards provide that solution, they are a freeriders dream. If you'd like to read a little more about why we believe Evolve Skateboards offer the best carve in the e-skate market then take a look at our snowboard blog or better still if you're local enough to our shop in Hampshire then why not get in touch and book a test ride.
WARNING: The Evolve GTR Series is a high performance electric skateboard. It is strongly advised that children under 14 years, or new to electric skateboarding, operate the boards under supervision with full safety gear including a helmet. FAST and GTR modes offers performance capabilities not suitable for beginners AND can allow the rider to get in situations that may increase risk in operation. ie: GTR mode will allow the board to climb extremely steep hills that will be dangerous to ride back down, even when using the brake. While programming is in place to limit climbing of dangerous inclines, the rider must understand the power this board can offer must be respected for safe use.
Evolve Electric Skateboards are legal to use on private land with the landowners permission.
